Job Description

A community engagement lead is required to develop and implement innovative strategies that foster a vibrant, inclusive, and socially connected environment across our retirement living communities.

The successful candidate will play a strategic and hands-on role in building a thriving community for older adults. They will lead the design and delivery of programs that promote wellness, inclusion, autonomy, and connection.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing innovative engagement strategies, facilitating regular resident forums and feedback sessions, leading the planning and delivery of various activities, and integrating resident life stories into program design.

Additionally, the community engagement lead will build and maintain strong partnerships with local schools, businesses, service providers, and community groups, facilitate opportunities for collaboration, and identify and apply for grant funding opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong strategic thinking and program design skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience in community engagement, program development, aged care, social services, or a related field.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders including residents, families, staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Strong event and program planning skills, including logistics, budgeting, risk assessment, and evaluation.
