Range Manager

We are seeking a skilled Range Manager to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment.

  • Caring for and managing land, including grass cutting, tree removal, weed control and pest management is a key responsibility.
  • This role involves more than just range maintenance, it's about working together to keep our training areas safe, well-maintained and ready for use by the Defence Forces.

About the Role

This role involves caring for and managing the land, including grass cutting, tree removal, weed control and pest management. We also need someone who can support emergency response activities, including firefighting when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing land, including grass cutting, tree removal, weed control and pest management.
  • Supporting emergency response activities, including firefighting when needed.
  • Operating and maintaining portable target systems.
  • Working closely with others to ensure the range is safe, secure and operational.

What We're Looking For

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Light vehicle licence (HR Truck licence, Backhoe or Plant Operator licence would be great).
  • Bush firefighting qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Map reading and navigation skills (we can train you if you're new to this).
  • Senior First Aid certificate (or ability to gain one).
  • Clear communication skills and basic computer skills (MS Office).
