Overview of the Role

The South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Provisional Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine.

\

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • \
  • Assist specialist intensive care physicians in the diagnosis and management of critically ill patients.\
  • Acquire clinical skills and experience necessary to progress and achieve qualification standards as an intensive care specialist.\
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and quality assurance (QA) programs.\
  • Supervise and teach other junior medical staff.\

Requirements

  • \
  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.\
  • Current registration (or eligible for registration) with the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM).\
  • Successful completion of foundation (6 months) and core training (24 months) in intensive care as specified by CICM.\
  • 12 months of clinical anaesthesia experience.\
  • Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary, evidence-based best practice.\
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.\
