Job Opportunity

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill an Emergency Response Officer position on a unique roster.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine emergency response and maintenance checks to ensure compliance.
  • Perform onsite drug and alcohol screenings in line with site policies.
  • Participate in emergency training exercises and real-life incident responses.
  • Maintain and monitor emergency communication systems.
  • Assess risks and implement effective emergency response measures.
  • Develop relationships for mutual aid in emergency situations.
  • Support operations and safety initiatives.
  • Deliver first aid and pre-hospital care while liaising with Injury Management.
  • Assist in the training and development of the Emergency Response Team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue (or equivalent) is required, along with expertise in open-circuit breathing apparatus, fire suppression, hazmat, vertical rope rescue, confined space rescue, and road crash rescue.

Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) is also necessary. A Diploma of Emergency Health Care (or equivalent) is desirable, as well as Drug & Alcohol Testing Certification and a valid Heavy Rigid (HR-B) Driver's Licence.
