Smart City Project Officer

This role involves delivering smart technology and city innovation projects on schedule, to scope and budget. It is a critical position that plays a key part in achieving the city's vision for a smarter future.

About the Role

The Smart City Project Officer will be responsible for defining project scope, objectives, milestones, budget, and reporting ambitious initiatives that solve problems using new technologies and rollout of visionary ideas.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, budget, and reporting of ambitious initiatives.
  • Provide accurate advice and guidance on a range of smart city matters.
  • Day-to-day management and execution of all project aspects.
  • Identify, engage, and manage key stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure all relevant legal and statutory requirements are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business, or Public Administration.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience managing large projects.
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed partnering and networking skills.
