Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Respiratory Scientist to enhance our operations at the North West Regional Hospital. This facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art lung function laboratory, catering to both adult and pediatric patients.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Clinical Directors to oversee the planning and management of the Lung Function Laboratory, ensuring compliance with departmental requirements and national standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care while managing laboratory operations.
  • Conducting routine and complex respiratory function tests and participating in educational and research initiatives.
  • Providing training and support to staff members to maintain high operational standards.

Position Details

This is a fixed-term, part-time position, requiring 38 hours of work per fortnight. The salary range for this role is $106,966 - $123,013 pro rata, per annum, with an additional 11.5% superannuation contribution.

Employees may also benefit from a salary package that includes living expenses and meal entertainment allowances, along with a Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must be eligible for membership in the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.
