Critical Infrastructure Portfolio Engineer

As a key member of the field engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and security for customers while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost. This involves leading multi-discipline teams to drive efficiency and visibility throughout the portfolio's lifecycle.

About the Role:
  1. You will manage fleet-wide MEP availability solutions, requiring coordination across organizational boundaries.
  2. Understand both technical and business components of availability solutions to drive alignment and implementation plans between engineering, operations, procurement, legal, finance, and other stakeholder teams.
  3. You will have full lifecycle ownership from risk identification to global fleet-wide resolution.
  4. Develop complete standards and processes for tracking, reporting, and closure of risks.
  5. Prepare narratives for executive leadership with recommendations on cost, timing, and strategic trade-offs.
  6. Capture and share technical program management best practices with product and program managers in Data Center Engineering.

Fundamental Responsibilities:

  • Manage Fleet-Wide Solutions: Develop and implement strategies for managing fleet-wide MEP availability solutions.
  • Drive Alignment: Understand and communicate the technical and business implications of availability solutions to drive alignment among stakeholders.
  • Lifecycle Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for risk identification, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Risk Management: Establish and maintain comprehensive standards for risk tracking, reporting, and closure.
  • Executive Leadership Support: Provide clear recommendations to executive leaders on key decisions affecting the portfolio.
