The company has seen significant growth in 2025, with operations ramping up at Extension Hill, a flagship magnetite mine in the Mid-West region of Western Australia. This success has led to an increase in operational demands, requiring the appointment of a Geospatial Data Specialist to join the Terra Mining team.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geospatial Data Specialist to provide precise and timely spatial information about surface mining operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, including experience with surveying equipment and software such as Deswik or Surpac. They will also possess strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a positive attitude towards safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist geologists with ore-markups and set out production drill holes ahead of schedule
  • Carry out surveys to determine mine structures and layouts, ensuring accurate positions above and below ground
  • Conduct drone flights to gather data for mine planning
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability


Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Surveyor in a mining environment or related field
  • Certificate/degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field
  • Valid surveying license/certification as per regulatory body requirements
  • Mine Surveyors' Certificate Grade One or Two
  • Proficiency in using Deswik or Surpac software
