Job Title: Senior Manager, Commercialisation

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the commercialisation of cutting-edge research and bring it to market.

This is a full-time opportunity located at the Callaghan Campus. The position is a 2-year fixed term.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess inventions and identify market potential, negotiating deals and supporting post-commercialisation outcomes.
  • Provide strategic guidance to researchers on intellectual property, spinout formation and market readiness.
  • Build and manage relationships with industry, investors and internal stakeholders to support commercial pathways.
  • Develop business cases and pitch strategies to secure investment and drive research translation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in commercialising deep tech innovations within a university environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • A strategic mindset and deep industry networks, particularly in sectors such as medtech and climate technologies.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and expectations.
