Physiotherapist in Emergency Care

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced physiotherapists to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality patient-centered care in the Emergency Department at North Canberra Hospital.
The successful candidate will work closely with patients, carers, referrers, other health professionals, and teams to provide evidence-based physiotherapy services across the care continuum.
Clinical supervision and professional development will be provided through team structures, supervision support, competency-based assessments, and opportunities for growth.
About The RoleThe role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and provide high-quality care.
Responsibilities include delivering extended hours of service provision, collaborating with physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams, supporting patient flow, and maximising patient outcomes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver extended hours of service provision in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
- Support patient flow and maximise patient outcomes across the care continuum.
- Participate in shift, overtime, and/or restricted on-call rosters.
- Contribute to service delivery in clinical areas under supervision.
- A National Police Check.
- Compliance with Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
