About The Role

This position oversees the planning and delivery of mowing and open space maintenance programs across the municipality. As part of a recent restructure, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead the team in achieving high-quality presentation of parks, reserves and public open spaces.

The successful candidate will oversee service delivery in line with scheduled programs and standards, manage equipment and resources, and respond to community service requests. With a focus on operational coordination, continuous improvement and customer service, this role offers the opportunity to support a well-maintained and welcoming open space network that enhances amenity and liveability for our community.

  • Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or related field is required.
  • Several years' experience working in local government or a similar environment is essential.
  • Experience in contract management is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in parks and open space maintenance is critical.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contract administration, including monitoring and OH&S requirements is crucial.
