Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Relations professional to lead our government affairs strategy and campaigns in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with government officials, industry partners, and other stakeholders.

About the Role:

  • Lead the design and execution of our government affairs strategy and campaigns in Australia and New Zealand;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, industry partners, and other stakeholders;
  • Anticipate and manage emerging issues and risks related to our corporate, environmental, and societal impact across Australia and New Zealand;
  • Work with experts from inside and outside the company to help understand and resolve legal and regulatory issues that affect our business strategy;
  • Work with the Communications & Marketing team to create internal and external communications plans for stakeholders on policy updates and key infrastructure development projects.

Requirements:

  • A substantial record of relevant work experience (10-15 years) in government affairs, public affairs, public policy, or a related field;
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with senior government officials, policy makers, industry partners, and other key stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence Senior Stakeholders to achieve optimum business outcomes;
  • Demonstrated experience in Crisis Stakeholder Management;
  • Experience in managing or influencing Internal communications strategy and performance.
