The role of a Coordinator Traffic and Transport is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of traffic within a local government area. This individual will provide strategic leadership to develop a proactive service that delivers an efficient, safe, and integrated transport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement traffic management plans to minimize disruptions and ensure seamless traffic flow.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including councillors, members of parliament, and community groups, to resolve traffic-related issues.
- Prepare high-quality concept designs for civil infrastructure road works and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage resources effectively and promote a team environment to achieve team and business objectives.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Civil & Environmental Engineering.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Construction Induction (White Card).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in local government traffic and/or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in administering the Council Traffic Advisory Committee.
