Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Manager to oversee laboratory operations and ensure efficient services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage laboratory staff, resources, and equipment to maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and professional codes of conduct.
  • Develop budgets, manage finances, and provide financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Track key performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the laboratory or organization.
  • Lead and develop a team of laboratory professionals, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting employee well-being.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve organizational goals, improve laboratory efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in science, medical laboratory science, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and operational management skills.
  • Extensive experience in Haematology, with expertise in routine Haematology, Coagulation, Flow Cytometry, and Morphology.
  • Strong understanding of quality improvement, risk management, and change management principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems, Microsoft Office, Quality Management Systems, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
