Science Teacher Role

We are seeking a skilled Science teacher to join our school community and enrich the lives of our students.

This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in Term 1 2026. As a Science teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Science subjects to secondary students and leading a collaborative team to promote student learning growth.

You will have a strong knowledge base of the subject's content and effective pedagogies that maximise student learning outcomes. You will also have the ability to lead professional learning in science and whole school activities that promote science engagement by students.

In addition, you will have the capacity to implement the College strategic vision for learning excellence based on the CSPD Strategic Plan for learning growth and excellence.

  • Fully qualified Secondary Science teacher with a passion for inspiring a love of learning in students;
  • Able to cater for students with diverse backgrounds, needs and abilities;
  • Demonstrate a commitment to unleashing the potential of each student;
  • Active listening skills and the ability to engage with and build strong positive relationships with members of the school community including employees, students and parents;

Key areas of focus include:

  1. Knowledge and experience of the new NSW Syllabuses implementation;
  2. Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative teamwork approach;
  3. Capacity to analyse learning performance data and strategically plan effective teaching, learning and assessment programs;
  4. Ability to lead professional learning in science and whole school activities that promote science engagement by students;
