Job Opportunity: Community Focused Role

We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a community focused role. As a Relief Cook/Community Manager, you will be based at one of our Gardens communities, with opportunities to support other sites across the region.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals for residents, ensuring quality, safety, and dietary needs are met. You will also maintain kitchen cleanliness and uphold food safety standards.

  • Support daily operations including site inspections, resident wellbeing, and emergency response
  • Lead and coach team members

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Commercial cooking or chef experience, ideally in aged care, hospitality, or community settings
  • Certifications like Food Safety Supervisor and First Aid, as well as a current driver's licence
  • Confident managing food service operations and interacting with residents
  • Physically capable of manual tasks including lifting, cleaning, and kitchen prep
  • Empathetic, professional, and thrive in a community-focused environment
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams, give constructive feedback, and communicate effectively across all levels.
