We are seeking a highly experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team at Design & Build Recruitment. As an HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients' employees and contractors on commercial construction projects.

About the Role:

  • Drive and implement our client's safety, environment, and quality practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist with regular audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for continuous enhancement.
  • Collate detailed reports for the client, providing insights and recommendations for improving safety and quality performance.
  • Support contractors in developing and implementing project safety management plans, ensuring effective risk mitigation and control.
  • Communicate any non-conformances promptly and effectively to the site senior leadership team, ensuring timely resolution and prevention of future incidents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Cert IV in WHS (Work Health and Safety) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of HSE experience within commercial construction, with a proven track record of improving safety and quality performance.
  • Previous experience working on residential or commercial construction projects valued $30M+.
  • Proven experience in participating in audits, demonstrating strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced computer literacy, particularly with MS Office suite and safety management systems.
