Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Officer to provide specialist dental care to patients in our Oral Health Service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality dental care and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical dental care to patients on a sessional basis, practicing within their complete scope of practice and minimizing unnecessary referrals to other centres.

Requirements
  • Must be registered with the Dental Board of Australia as a Specialist in Paediatrics or Special Needs Dentistry.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles.
  • An understanding of current concepts in clinical practice including activity based and value based care.
  • Skills and commitment to work effectively in a dental team, with effective time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adequate computer skills for clinical and associated applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and patient safety activities relevant to dental practice.
