This is a great opportunity to join an aged care provider and make a positive impact on the lives of residents.

You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality and person-centered care, addressing the specific medical, physical, and emotional needs of residents. You will also be responsible for managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Resident Care: Delivering compassionate and competent care to residents, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
  • Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
  • Care Planning: Developing and implementing individual care plans for each resident, taking into account their specific health needs and goals.
  • Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
  • Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.
Requirements
  • Current Ahpra Registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation.
  • Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
