Playgroup Assistant

This role involves working collaboratively with the playgroup leader to plan and execute activities that foster connections within the local community.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a genuine interest in supporting families and children aged 0-4 years.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the playgroup leader in planning and implementing engaging activities for children
  • Help facilitate sign-in and attendee feedback processes
  • Support the preparation and serving of morning tea
  • Contribute to setting up and packing down procedures
  • Engage children through songs, music, and other interactive experiences
  • Develop a literacy corner and encourage reading among attendees
  • Share knowledge and expertise with the group
  • Participate in nature-based activities and maintain a fun and inclusive environment
Commitment Details:

A regular commitment of less than six months, approximately two to three hours per session, either on Mondays or Tuesdays during school terms.

Provided training and ongoing support to ensure success in this role.
