Leading Reproductive Scientist

The Royal Women's Hospital provides a wide range of fertility treatments, including intrauterine insemination, IVF and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection treatment cycles, Fertility preservation including ovarian and testicular tissue freezing, Preimplantation Genetic Testing, and a first publicly funded Donor Egg and Sperm Bank.
This position is responsible for performing laboratory procedures related to the collection, inspection, manipulation, processing of human oocytes, sperm and embryos and other related aspects of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
A regular day will see you:
- Perform standard ART procedures and other treatments undertaken in the embryology laboratory
- Process human gametes, embryos or tissue for cryopreservation
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality control measures
- Assist with management of patients providing samples / general reception duties as required
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
- Strong understanding of reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technologies
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
