The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a key position within the healthcare service, providing strategic leadership to the clinical team and contributing to the quality management of our services.
Responsibilities include ensuring all care elements are in place, evidence-based and continually evaluated. The CNC has specific responsibility for implementing dynamic harm reduction strategies for patients with a focus on clinical deterioration.
The CNC is an expert practitioner, linking evidence and research to clinical practice, influencing models of care and providing expert clinical advice to patients, healthcare professionals and carers.
Key responsibilities:
- Registration with relevant nursing authority as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent and a postgraduate qualification in the speciality field
- At least 5 years full-time post-registration experience and at least 3 years' experience in the speciality field
- Credentialed Diabetes Educator
Desirable qualifications include research experience and experience working in a dynamic healthcare environment.
