About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Southern Cross Care Queensland. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes and communities.

As a member of our Care Team, you will demonstrate empathy and respect, and show commitment to providing the highest standard of care possible. You will work closely with our Client Coordinators to provide domestic assistance and/or personal support services, enabling our clients to be more independent at home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes and communities
  • Assist with domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Support clients with daily living activities, such as bathing and dressing
  • Work collaboratively with the Care Team to achieve client goals and outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Home & Community Care or equivalent (desirable)
  • Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Own reliable car for work purposes, with full comprehensive insurance and current registration
