This is an exciting opportunity to join Gumala Aboriginal Corporation as a Social Investment and Housing Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an annual grants funding program focused on leveraging funding for housing and social investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Investments:
    • Develop and implement an annual grants funding program to support housing and social investments.
    • Submit high-quality grant and funding applications to secure funding for social investments.
  • Tenancy Management:
    • Manage tenancies in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act.
    • Maintain and provide statistics for key performance indicators.
  • Property Care and Maintenance:
    • Conduct quarterly property inspections to ensure property standards are maintained.
    • Ensure timely maintenance and repairs are carried out.
  • Requirements:
    • Demonstrated experience working in challenging circumstances to solve problems.
    • High-level customer service skills, with experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience managing grant and funding programs.
    • Understanding of social impact measurement frameworks, including program logic.
    • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to track a wide variety of tasks.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal people and show respect for culture.
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience with asset management, particularly related to maintenance.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience managing team members, and supporting their skills and development.
    • Experience managing a housing program, with the ability to deliver training to the team.
