Job Summary

The State of Hawai'i is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse III to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment services in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans for patients with a wide range of nursing care problems.
  • Provide nursing care and treatment services to patients assigned to the unit, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Assign and direct the work of nursing assistants to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Serve as a charge nurse, relieving the head nurse for the evening or night shift, and providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff.
  • Respond to patient emergencies and provide emergency medical services, including CPR, as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawai'i.
  • At least six (6) months of professional nursing work experience as a registered nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
