Job Title: Senior Network Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our complex computer networks. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of our network infrastructure, while also driving strategic planning to enhance network functionality and improve security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network infrastructure to maximize uptime and ensure high availability.
  • Develop and implement processes to maintain network and security infrastructure, including proactive monitoring, regular patching and upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
  • Lead troubleshooting of issues and provide 2nd level or 3rd level support to assist in recovery from network failures.
  • Develop and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Document networks, security models, operational procedures, and update the Knowledge Base library.
  • Design and implement network and security solutions to meet project or security requirements.
  • Strategically manage vendor relationships to maximize service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Make strategic decisions on network design and improvements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Allocate resources and tasks effectively within the team to meet project deadlines and performance targets.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.
  • Cisco CCNP, CCSP, or CCDP certification and ITIL Foundation.
  • Strong Cisco hardware experience.
  • Experience supporting Citrix Netscalers, F5 Load Balancers, and Fortigates.
  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing network and security infrastructure.
  • Experience designing and maintaining complex networks and experience with networking protocols, services, and standards.
  • Experience working within a corporate environment with a large user base.
  • Proven leadership experience in a network engineering environment, including team management, mentoring, and strategic project management.
