We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to lead our medical billing operations and revenue cycle management processes. The ideal candidate will oversee billing staff, ensure accurate and timely submission of medical claims, manage accounts receivable, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Manage the daily operations of the medical billing department, ensuring efficient and accurate claim processing.
Oversight of insurance claims and patient invoices, guaranteeing timely submission and follow-up on outstanding balances.
Monitor and analyze accounts receivable, implementing strategies to reduce claim denials and payment delays.
Resolve complex billing issues, denied claims, and appeals with insurance companies in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure adherence to healthcare laws, coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and payer requirements.
Prepare and analyze regular billing and collection reports for management review.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in medical billing operations.
Collaborate with physicians, medical coders, and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices.
Mentor and evaluate billing team members, providing guidance and feedback to support their growth and development.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans when necessary.
Stay updated on industry trends, insurance changes, and regulatory requirements to ensure continuous improvement in medical billing practices.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 35 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 12 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Profound knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance guidelines, coding standards, and revenue cycle management.
Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC, CPB) is a plus.
