Executive Chef

The Head Chef will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of catering production across the residence, including back of house operations, menu planning, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents, ensuring variety and balanced nutrition.
- Conduct food focus groups with residents to gather feedback and input on menu planning.
- Order catering supplies within budget parameters and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain written details of resident food preferences and dietary restrictions, and ensure meals are prepared accordingly.
- Cater for external functions as required, ensuring high-quality service and presentation.
- Post-secondary qualification in catering, cooking, or a related field.
- Food Safety Supervisor qualification and Certificate III in Catering/Hospitality.
- Previous experience in catering, preferably in a residential aged care facility.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external stakeholders.
