Job Summary:

A dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional is required to support patients through the pre-admission and post-operative phases of care.

Key Responsibilities include assessing patients' readiness for surgery, providing clear education to patients and their families, ensuring safe and attentive care during the immediate post-operative period, collaborating with a supportive team environment.

Requirements
  • Current registration with at least 2 years of experience in a surgical centre/day surgery or admissions/discharge within a fast-paced acute care environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across a rotating roster, Monday to Friday.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with patients and families.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathy, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
