About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our fast-growing business and take charge of a successful manufacturer of concrete sleeper products. Our company prides itself on quality, high customer service, and long-standing client relationships.

Our goal is to become the largest supplier of concrete sleeper products on the East Coast. As part of this plan, you will develop and implement new manufacturing processes, oversee effective business strategies, and support staff development.

Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will help maintain client relationships, generate new business, increase productivity, improve services, ensure sustainability, and meet business objectives.

The ideal candidate should oversee all business activities, support staff growth, enhance efficiency, drive sales, improve revenue, maintain client relationships, and achieve overall growth objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Allocate resources, formulate policies, coordinate operations, motivate staff, manage costs, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Improve manufacturing processes, actively manage contracts and suppliers, engage with vendors, hire and train employees, identify business opportunities, and monitor financial activities.

To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of precast concrete products and manufacturing processes. You should possess tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related disciplines, along with excellent communication skills, financial acumen, and management report preparation capabilities.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar professional role.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
