Job Summary:

KinCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Professional to join our team in the Maylands area. As a Home Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers' nutritional needs are met.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with mobility, therapy goals, and medication management.
  • Offer respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a helping hand when needed.
  • Transport customers to appointments, ensuring they receive the care and attention they require.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including those with dementia.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help when needed.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days – Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
