Teaching and Learning Leader

This is a highly rewarding and challenging role for experienced senior secondary teachers who are passionate about education.

The Teaching and Learning Leader will play a key role in supporting the development of high-ability students across Victoria, through the provision of enrichment programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of these programs, as well as providing leadership and support to colleagues.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with high-achieving students and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the enrichment program schedule for high-ability secondary students.
  • Facilitate the design, implementation, and review of Individual Achievement Plans (IAPs) tailored to the talents, needs, and aspirations of high-ability students.
  • Provide direct line management and support to the Year 9 Advanced Maths Camps Program Manager.
  • Model and support exemplary teaching practice within enrichment programs.
  • Lead and collaborate with internal teams to strengthen and expand partnerships with universities, industry professionals, community organisations, and schools across Victoria.
  • Design, lead, and contribute to professional learning activities at building staff capability in the design and delivery of high-quality enrichment and engagement programs.
  • Disseminate current research, evidence-based practices, and data-informed insights related to high-ability education.
Requirements
  • Mastery of relevant curriculum knowledge.
  • Ability to lead and manage the implementation of school priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment and capacity to identify and support high-ability students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
