
Dangerous Goods and Explosives Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our team responsible for dangerous goods and explosives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, managing and supporting a team of professionals, providing supervision and operational support in the office and field.
This role requires an enthusiastic and agile leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to provide strong leadership and inspire people and direction. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated understanding of the dangerous goods & explosives sectors, with high level oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to deal with complex matters including collaboration with National and State cross-agency jurisdictions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, manage and support a team of professionals
- Provide team supervision and operational support
- Offer advice on safe work practices and compliance with relevant laws
- Support the community by identifying emerging issues and trends
Key Requirements:
- Hold a valid NSW 'C' class drivers' licence
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- Satisfactory medical assessment capacity regarding physical and psychological impacts of the inherent duties
- Undertake the 12-month New Inspector Training Program (NITP)
