Cyber Security ICT Business Analyst Position

MQH Consultants Pty Ltd

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior ICT Business Analyst to join our team in Western Australia. As a Senior ICT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in guiding clients through the complexities of IT and cybersecurity, ensuring that their systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Consulting: Provide strategic consulting services to clients, advising on IT solutions and cybersecurity best practices to meet business objectives and enhance security posture.
  • Business Requirements Analysis: Work closely with users to formulate and document precise business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of desired outcomes and system needs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs, and ensuring that IT and cybersecurity strategies align with their goals.
  • Solution Architecture: Design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems, ensuring that cybersecurity considerations are integrated at every stage.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct high-level risk assessments for clients, evaluating their cybersecurity posture, and recommending strategic improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guide clients through the complexities of cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that their systems and processes are up-to-date.
  • Innovation: Stay at the forefront of technology and cybersecurity trends to provide innovative solutions that give clients a competitive edge.
  • Cybersecurity Integration: Ensure that cybersecurity measures are integrated into all business activities and that IAM best practices are incorporated into business processes and projects.
  • Access Management: Oversee the management of user access rights, ensuring compliance with access control policies, and managing the user lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulations, and participate in the resolution of security incidents related to unauthorised access or identity theft.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, participating in proposal writing, and presenting solutions to potential clients.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior analysts and consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Requirements

  • Australian work rights.
  • Current and relevant industry experience at least at the level being assessed.
  • Proficiency in various security technologies, tools, and technologies backed by foundational and associate-level certifications is highly desirable.
  • Relevant cyber security experience working in the higher education or government sectors are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to understand and deliver business and system requirements.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and training skills.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence concepts, tools, frameworks and solutions from leading vendors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and agile project delivery methodologies.
