We are hiring for our Coomera, Queensland clinic working across a combination of clinic and mobile services. We can offer flexibility, with full time or part time hours available to suit you.

    • Assessments and intervention sessions will be provided to paediatric, adolescent and adult caseloads\
    • Direct, family based and community-based support will be given to individuals with developmental delays and/or disabilities\
    • Working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary context to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes\
    • Participate in developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs\
    • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to develop cohesive care strategies\
    • Present client progress reports to parents/carers on a regular basis\
    • Development of treatment goals in collaboration with therapists, educators, medical practitioners and families\
    • Lead assessments and interventions in various settings, such as hospitals, clinics and schools\
    • Record and maintain accurate, up-to-date client files, in compliance with organisational policies\
    • Conducting risk assessments and maintaining comprehensive records of all interactions with children and families\
    • Plan and implement educational programs to meet the specific learning needs of students\
    • Collaborate with Speech Therapists to ensure high-quality client service delivery\
    • Ensure ongoing communication with all stakeholders regarding client progress, well-being and any concerns\
    • Maintain a proactive approach to staying current with industry best practices, research and technologies relevant to speech pathology\
    • Remain compliant with mandatory screening checks and legislative requirements\
    • Review case loads to ensure continuity of services for existing clients, communicating effectively with the wider team about shifting priorities and changes to availability\
    • Support Health Promotion activities within organisations\
    • Consult with other healthcare professionals to plan and implement comprehensive treatment plans\
    • Identify opportunities for education and professional development to improve personal practice\
    • Develop workplace mentorship initiatives with senior staff to increase confidence and skill-building in new employees\
    • Deliver presentations on speech therapy-related topics at conferences and workshops\
    • Build partnerships with local healthcare providers, schools, government agencies and NGOs to enhance knowledge exchange and networking opportunities\
    • Manage and coordinate projects related to speech therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful project completion\
    • Keep informed about developments in speech therapy and stays current with continuing education and professional development\
    • Update standards of practice according to the latest evidence-based approaches and guidelines\
    • Facilitate and contribute to curriculum development in speech pathology courses at academic institutions\
    • Explore opportunities to grow professionally through memberships in reputable professional bodies, specialising in speech therapy and rehabilitation\
    • Provide culturally sensitive and effective support for diverse communities and client populations\
    • Engage in strong, collaborative relationships with allied health professionals and assist with decisions concerning key operational and strategic matters\
    • Investigate innovative methods and tools for improving patient outcomes in speech therapy\
    • Implement effective case management processes to manage caseloads and schedules efficiently\
    • Research emerging trends, current research findings and theories related to child/adolescent/adult speech therapy and audiology\
    • Keep abreast of emerging issues impacting vulnerable populations, facilitating improvements in capacity building and responses to trauma, poverty, social exclusion and societal pressures\
    • Use technology to streamline administrative tasks, allowing more time for direct client interaction and providing exceptional customer service\
    • Experience using computer-aided software systems like Reconsultus, Patient Flow Manager or TherapyConnect would be beneficial\
    • Regular attendance, punctuality, good communication skills and teamwork are highly valued traits\
    • Sound problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to go above and beyond to deliver optimal results\
    • Ability to remain empathetic and understanding under pressure\
    • Preferably experience working with adolescents and children in a residential, school or community setting\
    • Compliance requirements – SPA Registration; Working with Children Check; National Police Check; NDIS workers screening check; First Aid Training; Driver's License & Vehicle\
    • Understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive client information\
    • Capacity to use initiative to advance your professional development and apply insights from evidenced-based practice in speech pathology\
