About the Role
Our organization is seeking a Product Category Manager to lead and support a team of merchandising specialists responsible for automotive specialist product categories.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience in category management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree being desirable.
We are looking for a strategic thinker who can develop and implement comprehensive merchandise strategies that support our overall business goals and customer value propositions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category plans that meet car parc and customer needs while maximizing profitability and return on investment.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing merchandising team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and results.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning and annual budgeting processes.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, digital, and finance to align category strategy with customer experience.
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and the competitive landscape to make well-informed category decisions.
- Build and develop strong vendor relationships, identifying points of competitive advantage to maximize margin and delivery performance.
- Deliver sales and gross margin targets, reviewing and interpreting sales data, forecasts, and KPIs regularly to identify opportunities and risks.
- Work closely with supply teams to optimize availability and ensure timely replenishment.
- Maintain consistency across all customer touchpoints with respect to product presentation, pricing, and storytelling.
About You
