About the Role

Ignite is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to play a crucial role in the Infrastructure and Enhancements project. As an Infrastructure Engineer on our team, you'll be responsible for upgrading server systems, contributing to ad-hoc infrastructure enhancements, and making a significant impact on the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and Migration: You will audit the existing server infrastructure, identifying unsupported Windows Server OS (Server 2012) and develop a plan for migration to a supported version.
  • Upgrade and Decommissioning: You'll be responsible for performing server upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of all 2012 Windows servers, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Security and Compliance: You will contribute to the hardening of the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) deployed via SCCM, ensuring it meets the ACSC Essential 8 standards and aligns with Ignite's security policies.

Essential Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Federal Government experience in Windows Server OS upgrades.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Understanding of cyber threats in OT and ICS.
  • Experience with vulnerability and compliance scanning.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage concurrent tasks with changing priorities.
