Job Title: Correctional Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Correctional Officer to join our team at the Beechworth Correctional Centre. This is a casual position that offers a range of exciting challenges and opportunities for career growth.

About the Role:

  • This role involves providing a range of services including warehouse, finance support, purchasing, procurement, stock/inventory control, general prison/prisoner services administration and various other related duties.
  • You will be responsible for direct supervision of prisoner workers, ordering and receipting of stock, maintenance of minimum stock levels and shop lists, security of shop stock, stocktaking and stock-control, record keeping and ensuring the shop is clean and in good order.

About You:

  • You will have sound knowledge of and application of legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
  • You will be well-developed with computer literacy and experience with Oracle or similar finance-related system.
  • You will have an understanding of shop, store and warehousing operations including associated stock management.

Benefits:

  • VPS Grade 2: $60,295 - $77,430 plus superannuation.
