All successful candidates must be willing to work at our Muswellbrook Office Your role As a Community Corrections Officer, you will join a dedicated and dynamic team focused on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety.
In this role, you will collaborate with individuals under supervision to develop and implement rehabilitative strategies, monitor progress toward established goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions.
You will benefit from a supportive work environment and opportunities to engage in staff activities, all while making a meaningful impact in the community.
What You'll Do Community Corrections Officers are trained to manage cases for individuals serving community-based orders, including Parole Orders, Intensive Corrections Orders, and Community Corrections Orders.
In some facilities, officers also work with offenders in custody to prepare them for successful reintegration into the community upon their release on parole.
This role offers extensive training opportunities and pathways for career advancement.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory four-week, in-person, paid training program at our Brush Farm Academy, which is a key component of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice curriculum.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all interactions.
Experience in case management, along with high resilience, strong motivation, and a proactive, positive attitude.
Ability to thrive in a challenging environment while applying cultural sensitivity and awareness.
Develop and implement effective strategies while demonstrating decisiveness in managing emotionally charged situations and addressing complex or controversial issues.
