Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing the fortnightly payroll in compliance with NSW Health requirements and industrial awards.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate payroll records in Preceda/ELMO, including employee details, leave, deductions, and allowances. You will also support staff with payroll-related queries and prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to internal stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and has strong organisational skills. If you are detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently and as part of a team, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Pa**yroll Manager in preparing and processing the fortnightly payroll
  • Maintain accurate payroll records in Preceda/ELMO
  • Support staff with payroll-related queries
  • Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to internal stakeholders

Essential Requirements:

">

• Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, including data entry and pay run processing preferably within the NSW Health or public sector.

• Knowledge of NSW Health awards, agreements, and leave provisions.

• Understanding of payroll-related legislation, including taxation, superannuation, and Fair Work requirements.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment.

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team within a multicultural environment.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience using Preceda, Deputy or ELMO payroll systems.

• Experience with MYOB Advanced/Acumatica accounting software.

• Previous experience in a health or not-for-profit organisation.
