We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Inspector. As an Inspector, you will be responsible for leading emergency response efforts and ensuring the safety of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to large-scale urban and vegetation fires and other emergency incidents: take charge and direct operations in accordance with Command, Leadership and Management (CLM) principles and QFD legislative requirements.
- Undertake core member training in accordance with the Queensland Disaster Management Training Framework and have a comprehensive knowledge of the Queensland Disaster Management Act 2003.
- Represent the QFD at multi-agency events, provide tactical and operational emergency management of the impacts on the community (including to the Local Disaster Management Group, where appropriate) and have authority for the deployment of their resources at the incident.
- Hold a current valid Blue Card from Blue Card Services;
- Manual Medium Rigid (MRV) driver's licence as recognised by the Department of Transport and Main Roads;
- Have successfully completed all the requirements for Station Officer Level 3 qualifications within the Queensland Fire and Rescue and maintained the operational competencies appropriate to the rank.
- Provide leadership and management support to all QFD staff to drive the pursuit of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) performance excellence, facilitating the growth of a WHS culture.
- Comply with responsibilities of WHS legislation and the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service.
