Electrical Engineering Lecturer

The University of Queensland is seeking highly qualified and experienced academics to join our team as Lecturers or Senior Lecturers in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. We are looking for individuals who can contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as perform scholarship, administrative, and other activities associated with the School.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Scholarship of Teaching and Learning/Research: Maintain an active record of producing quality research or scholarship of teaching outputs consistent with discipline norms, collaborate on teaching and research projects, and utilize best practice teaching and assessment methodologies.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
- Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
We are seeking candidates with a PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or a related area, and demonstrated expert knowledge in a discipline area relevant to the School. The ideal candidate will have a track record of high-quality teaching, supervision of Honours student projects, and emerging research outputs. They will also possess well-developed communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from a multidisciplinary background.
For Academic Level C, we are seeking candidates with national recognition of their achievements, a track record of supervision of Honours student projects and Higher Degree by Research students, and demonstrated leadership and service to domestic or international academic or professional bodies.
What We OfferThe University of Queensland offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary range of $110,365.29 - $130,765.78 for Academic Level B and $134,845.87 - $155,246.38 for Academic Level C, plus 17% Superannuation. We also offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, paid parental leave, and career progression opportunities.
