We are seeking an experienced Health Clerk to join our dynamic team at Joint Health Command (JHC) in Darwin. As an APS 3 Health Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and support services to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Process admissions, dispatches, and reception duties
- Maintain accurate records and collate reports
- Liaise with patients, health professionals, and stakeholders to ensure seamless support services
- Contribute to team discussions and handle patient inquiries
- Support the integration and training of new team members
JHC is responsible for delivering healthcare services to over 70,000 Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. Our team is an integrated, multi-disciplinary group of Defence members, civilians, contractors, and professional health providers working together to manage around one million patient health service interactions each year.
What We're Looking ForWe need someone with experience in health administration, who can understand and apply medical terminology, and who is committed to maintaining patient confidentiality. You must be customer-focused, able to engage effectively with stakeholders, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to work to established priorities and procedures, exercising some autonomy in your work.
