Job Summary

Latrobe Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Health Information Clerk to join our Health Information Department on a casual basis. As a Health Information Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient and customer-focused service through clerical, computer, and reception duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Health Information Department, including data entry, records management, and customer service.
  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and support staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a health service environment, with a strong understanding of healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Competent in the use of computer systems, including data entry and record management software.
  • High attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
