International Freight Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced freight manager to join our team. As an international freight manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods across borders, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead International Freight Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Freight Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate the transportation of goods, taking into account factors such as lead times, costs, and capacity constraints.
  • Cargo Documentation and Customs Clearance: Prepare and submit accurate and complete customs documentation, ensuring smooth clearance of goods through customs.
  • Freight Forwarding and Tracking: Arrange for the transport of goods, tracking shipments in real-time, and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.

About You:

  • Transport and Logistics Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in transport and logistics, with a strong understanding of international freight management practices.
  • Warehouse Experience: Proven experience working in a warehouse environment, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects, if required.
  • Australian Citizenship and Security Clearance: Australian citizenship is essential, with the ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.
  • Safe Work Practices: Evidence of adherence to safe work practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • ISO Certification: Experience working in a certified ISO 9001 organisation, with a strong understanding of quality management principles.
