Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in our dynamic Banking and Financial Services organization. As part of our Line 1 Risk Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing a robust privacy risk governance framework.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in designing and overseeing the privacy risk management strategy across the Banking and Financial Services group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to analyze risk scenarios and provide advice on privacy-related issues
  • Supporting project stakeholders in completing Privacy Impact Assessments and acting as an escalation point to assess privacy incidents
  • Assisting with the oversight and management of regulatory changes impacting privacy, including preparing and presenting governance meeting packs
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance through governance, policies, training, reporting, and assurance
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce or a similar discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in Risk, Compliance and Regulatory roles, with a strong understanding of Australian privacy regulation
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively engage a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Great problem-solving skills with an ability to understand complex problems and identify key drivers and potential solutions
  • A critical and independent thinker who enjoys taking responsibility for complex tasks
