Professional Counselling Support Specialist

This specialist will deliver high-quality professional counselling and support services to individuals, couples, children, and families dealing with complex issues such as domestic and family violence, separation, trauma, or parenting difficulties.

About the Role
  • Deliver confidential, client-centred, and trauma-informed counselling services
  • Conduct assessment processes, maintain accurate records, and provide data-driven insights
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, planning, and evaluation
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or related fields
  • Eligibility for professional membership with relevant associations
  • Experience in contemporary counselling techniques (e.g., solution-focused, trauma-informed, family systems)
  • Strong understanding of Domestic & Family Violence, Child Protection, and Family Law principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Additional Requirements:
  • Current driver's licence
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain Australian Work Rights and Federal Police Check
