AUMS, a leading underground contract mining services business, is seeking an experienced Jumbo Operator to join our team in Africa. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of underground mining projects.

About the Role:

  • Drill accurate drive drill patterns using mechanised electric/Hydraulic Jumbo drills, adhering to site-specific requirements and survey instructions.
  • Assess ground conditions at the face and implement ground control measures in accordance with site protocols.
  • Read and follow mining instruction plans with precision, ensuring holes are drilled to design specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with surveyors, geologists, and engineers as required.
  • Optimise drill patterns to achieve maximum advance per round while maintaining design specifications.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for personnel and equipment, including clear electrical installations and services.
