About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Readiness Maintenance Lead to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance elements of the program, ensuring all maintenance documents are in line with the program and business plans and framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage maintenance strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with program and business objectives.
  • Manage the scope of the Test and Commissioning maintenance program, integrating it into the Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program.
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules and budgets, including risk profiles and deferrals.
  • Lead the maintenance support team, responsible for recruitment, people management, and leadership.
  • Ensure all job cards are vetted and ready for Test and Commissioning execution, capturing quality evidence and submitting reports.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Test and Commissioning teams to source engineering solutions and execute maintenance activities.
About You
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in maintenance requirements, production practices, and methods in a complex environment.
  • Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in a similar role.
  • Outcomes focused: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication skills: Superior communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levels.
  • Integrity: Demonstrated professional integrity and advanced technical knowledge.
  • Continuous improvement: Focus on always improving, identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
