In this role, you'll be the trusted advisor to our business teams, driving growth ambitions and elevating e-commerce excellence for Australian customers.

As a key decision-maker, you will:

  • Provide controllership for overall AU retail business, collaborating with FP&A team on financial deliverables
  • Support weekly/monthly business reviews and quarterly planning cycles by developing clear narratives around performance variance
  • Drive annual operating plan process, partnering with stakeholders to develop detailed forecasts and plans
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate and track business opportunities and commercial programs
  • Lead end-to-end ownership of Amazon Australia's Free Cash Flow program, partnering with Retail, Operations, and Transportation teams to maximize long-term free cash flow position
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement scalable cost-reduction mechanisms in the Australian market
  • Support continuous improvement projects to streamline and automate reporting and analysis

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of finance or analytical experience
  • 3+ years of tax, finance, or analytical experience
  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, or analysis
  • 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • MBA, or CPA
